New Alliance to Boost Philippine Healthcare Access

In a significant move to broaden its regional presence and enhance healthcare accessibility, Indonesia’s Dexa Group has officially expanded into the Philippines through a new strategic partnership. Its subsidiary, Glorious Dexa Mandaya Philippines, has forged an alliance with Ayala Healthcare Holdings, Inc. (AC Health), a leading player in the Philippine healthcare sector. This collaboration is specifically designed to improve access to a wide range of affordable and high-quality medicines and other essential products for communities across the entire country. The synergy will leverage AC Health’s extensive and well-established network, which includes a total of over 800 pharmacies, 220 clinics, and six hospitals, providing a robust distribution channel for Dexa Group’s pharmaceutical products and ensuring they reach a wider patient base, particularly in underserved areas.

Shared Values and a Patient-Centric Approach

A core foundation of this new alliance is a shared commitment to enhancing healthcare access while maintaining the highest possible quality and safety standards. Both organizations are aligned in their missions to deliver greater value directly to patients and serve more communities. According to Paolo Borromeo, the President and CEO of AC Health, the partnership will enable them to combine Dexa Group’s extensive pharmaceutical expertise and scientific approach with AC Health’s rapidly expanding retail and specialty care network. This synergy creates a powerful combination, ensuring that high-quality, scientifically-backed medicines can be distributed efficiently to meet the growing needs of the Filipino population. The collaborative effort is expected to set a new benchmark for patient care and service delivery in the regional healthcare industry.

Beyond the immediate goal of product distribution, the new agreement also includes a forward-thinking plan to establish a joint committee. This committee will be tasked with exploring and developing long-term collaborations across various segments of the healthcare value chain, including distribution, wholesale, and innovative healthcare solutions. Ferry Soetikno, the CEO of Dexa Group, described the alliance as a synergy of two companies with perfectly aligned missions. He believes that by working together, they will be able to contribute to building a more inclusive and future-ready healthcare system in the Philippines. This marks Dexa Group’s first major strategic partnership in the country and is a significant milestone in its broader regional expansion strategy throughout Southeast Asia, demonstrating a commitment to not just short-term gains but to long-lasting contributions to the local healthcare infrastructure.
