Regional Recognition for Corporate Responsibility

CK Power Public Company Limited has been formally recognized with two prestigious regional accolades at the Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards (AREA) 2025, marking the fourth consecutive year the company has been honored for its corporate social responsibility efforts. The company’s innovative “Hinghoi” project received awards in two distinct yet interconnected categories: Social Empowerment and Green Leadership. These awards serve as a powerful testament to the project’s dual-pronged approach, which focuses on providing crucial access to renewable energy while also actively engaging in the conservation of natural resources. In addition to these specific project awards, CK Power also earned a Silver Emblem of Sustainability, a rare and significant distinction that speaks to the company’s consistent and long-term commitment to embedding sustainable business practices across all of its operations. This consistent recognition at a regional level highlights CK Power’s role as a leader in corporate responsibility and its dedication to making a tangible, positive impact on society and the environment.

Strategic Framework for Sustainable Community Impact

The company’s award-winning initiatives are not isolated projects but are an integral part of its comprehensive CSR Strategy Framework 2022–2026. Under this strategic plan, CK Power has leveraged its expertise in the energy sector to implement both the “Hinghoi” and “Waste to Value” projects in local communities across Thailand and the Lao PDR. According to Managing Director Thanawat Trivisvavet, these initiatives are designed to improve the quality of life for residents by providing increased access to renewable energy and creating new economic opportunities. To date, the Hinghoi project has achieved remarkable results, providing over 100,000 watts of renewable energy to communities and educating thousands of individuals on the importance of environmental awareness and sustainable practices. The framework’s structured approach ensures that the projects are not just temporary solutions but are part of a long-term commitment to building more resilient and self-sufficient communities.

Ambitious Goals and a Guiding Philosophy

Looking ahead, CK Power has established ambitious plans to expand the scope and impact of its projects by 2026. The Hinghoi project aims to increase renewable energy access to a total of 150,000 watts, educate over 20,000 youths on environmental awareness, and launch new community-based products that are expected to generate an estimated THB 1.3 million in local income. In a parallel effort, the “Waste to Value” project plans to grow its partner network from three to five collaborators, which will further strengthen organic farming and environmental innovation. The company’s commitment to these initiatives is also reflected in its promotion of employee volunteerism and job creation, which are seen as fundamental to its business model. Mr. Thanawat concluded with a powerful analogy, stating that while the light of a single firefly may be small, together, that light can create meaningful and lasting change in society, a philosophy that truly embodies the company’s dedication to fostering a sustainable society, community, and economy.
