TechStore Bhd, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Tech-Store Malaysia Sdn Bhd, has successfully secured a significant contract with the Royal Malaysia Customs. The contract, valued at RM7.7 million, is for the leasing and provision of training services for a suite of security equipment. This includes four advanced baggage scanner machines and two body scanner machines, along with their necessary accessories. These state-of-the-art systems are designated for deployment at the Woodlands North Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) facility in Singapore. This facility is a critical component of the upcoming RTS Link, a vital new connection between Malaysia and Singapore. The award of this new contract builds on TechStore’s already extensive involvement in the RTS Link project. The company has previously contributed its expertise in various other areas, including providing design consultation for depot equipment and service vehicles, supplying uninterruptible power supply systems, and working on the RTS Enterprise Resource Planning system. Furthermore, TechStore has been engaged in fit-out works for Malaysian government agencies at the same Woodlands North CIQ facility, demonstrating its growing role in this key cross-border infrastructure initiative.
