Interactive Gaming Leader DigiPlus Launches Operations in Brazil

DIGIPLUS Interactive Corp. (PLUS) is strategically set to launch its first major overseas operation in Brazil on September 22, marking a significant milestone in the company’s ambitious global growth strategy.

The company’s initial offering in the burgeoning Brazilian market will be the GamePlus platform, which will feature an extensive library of over 150 games available in both popular free-to-play and regulated real-money formats, according to a statement released by DigiPlus on Tuesday.

This move is a direct entry into Latin America’s fastest-growing iGaming market.

To ensure a culturally resonant and localized experience for players, DigiPlus Brazil Country Manager Graham Tidey announced that “GamePlus will soon add exclusive content inspired by local folklore, casual games, and sports.”

This tailored approach is crucial for establishing a strong connection with the local consumer base.

The company’s overall strategy is one of global expansion, and the selection of Brazil reflects the maturity and regulatory clarity of the market.

In preparation for this launch, DigiPlus appointed Mr. Tidey as country manager for its Brazil operations in March, demonstrating its commitment to building dedicated local leadership.

The company, known for its successful platforms like BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone in its home market, which focus on interactive gaming and sports entertainment, is now leveraging that experience to capture market share abroad.

Localized Content and Regulatory Compliance as Key Differentiators

DigiPlus is prioritizing the creation of localized content and assembling a strong local team, viewing Brazil’s strict new regulatory framework not as an obstacle but as a strategic opportunity to distinguish itself by championing transparency and robust player welfare.

DigiPlus Chairman Eusebio H. Tanco emphasized the company’s foundational commitment, stating that the aim is to provide a safe and regulated platform for digital entertainment in Brazil.

He noted, “We are committed to fostering a strong local talent base and ensuring our offerings are perfectly tailored for Brazilian players, from our exclusive games to our player protection measures.”

The Brazilian government facilitated the entry of international operators like DigiPlus by enacting comprehensive online betting and gaming regulations in 2024, which established clear rules for licensing, consumer safeguards, and taxation.

The company views this rigorous framework as a competitive advantage.

DigiPlus stated that it “sees the country’s strict compliance framework as an opportunity to differentiate itself by prioritizing transparency and player welfare.”

The company previously announced the establishment of a local team in Brazil specifically tasked with curating both global titles and content uniquely tailored to the tastes of Brazilian players, a critical step in cultural adaptation.

Looking ahead, the company plans to launch BingoPlus, one of its most popular existing platforms, as its second offering in Brazil by 2026, further cementing its long-term commitment to the market.

Market Confidence and Long-Term Strategic Outlook

The stock market reacted swiftly and positively to the announcement of the Brazilian expansion, with a significant jump in DigiPlus shares, underscoring investor confidence in the company’s strategic decision to enter the rapidly growing and newly regulated Latin American iGaming space.

The news of the strategic overseas expansion immediately resonated with investors.

DigiPlus shares saw a substantial jump, closing 25.14 percent higher, or P4.65, to reach P23.15 each on Tuesday.

This surge reflects the market’s bullish outlook on the potential revenue contribution from the new Brazilian operation, which is seen as a major catalyst for future earnings.

The company’s choice to build a strong local team and commit to content inspired by local Brazilian culture and interests, such as folklore and sports, is a key strategic decision designed to sustain long-term player engagement and loyalty in a new market.

By entering a jurisdiction with clear regulations and compliance requirements, DigiPlus mitigates the risks often associated with unregulated or nascent markets, positioning itself as a responsible and legitimate operator from the outset.

The planned 2026 launch of the BingoPlus platform further signals that the company views Brazil not merely as a test market but as an integral component of its global revenue generation and brand establishment goals.
